I'm so dumb. I placed a couple of big limit orders while looking at the dom and some recent POCs hoping to trade in between them and I completely forgot about the limit orders as I was browsing around. I go back to check and my trade was in a HUGE dd on US30. That thing is wild. It moved like 30000 points in 15 minutes or so. In less than 30 minutes it dropped 35000 out of nowhere. This thing is wild. The DOM only shows 1 or 2 contracts and not the big numbers as on euro futures, oil gold, etc. I almost crashed my account in 30 minutes. https://prnt.sc/XLYoqk3suyGB

Your first instinct is to get out. I know I have that problem. I assume we will get more confident as we gather experience, preferably on the slower moving pairs.

Well, there was a lot of hype about FxOB - the long-awaited miracle of trading. https://clubbingbuy.com/threads/forex-orderblock-ea.7580/ Which developer (Magician) from Clubbing has long broken ... I don't have a lot of experience in this trading technique, but I can see that, like the rest of the "miracles", it shows what is happening too late ...

 

Well it looks like Eurusd and Us30 dropped around the same time. All i had open was sierra and mt4 so i didn't look at any Noobs or VP indicators and didn't even think to throw a peek at eurusd cos there is definitely a correlation there. What is "rotavator"? It's the first time i hear the term.

 

I think i missed that "miracle tool". When the market starts to move, these tools are useless. You never know when the tool got it right or if it was just a coincidence. That's why 90% of people lose their $.

And with free live real data. I still "did not agree" with the prices from the Sierra Chart to those from the NT8 CQG. And here it turned out that the clowns from Sierrachart in demo mode shared data delayed by 10 minutes ... Normally embarrassment ...

 

you are correct. I noticed that several of the symbols had a delay. US30 seemed to move in sync.

What i just noticed on Sierra is that it doesn't show the orders filled in the previous days. I assumed orders would be displayed continuously so i can see on what areas they build around and look for a POC that was previously used. I don't like that. https://prnt.sc/L5_NHo3bvz0_

 

Btw regarding the data delay, i noticed it yesterday when i tried trading the 10y treasury notes. I took the trade based on Sierra data but the market was going the opposite direction. The DOM was showing the 10Y Treasuries were going down on Sierra but the market was going up on my MT4 broker. That is no way to trade.
